Teased via unofficial channels as early as August 2020, an Air Jordan 13 dipped in “Gym Red” and original “Flint Grey” has recently been confirmed as part of Jordan Brand’s Summer 2021 Retro Collection.

As its unofficial “Red Flint” nickname suggests, the forthcoming pair indulges in an identical color-blocking as the model’s beloved “Flint” colorway first seen on various college athletes in 1998. The Tinker Hatfield-designed signature textile upper overlays maintains its reflective and dimpled nature, but indulges in an eye-catching “Gym Red” tone. A familiar holographic eye takes ownership of the lateral heel, sitting atop suede paneling in the aforementioned grey color. “White” tumbled leather joins the mix across the forefoot and on the tongue, but it plays a tertiary role to the panther paw-inspired midsole detailing clad in “Flint Grey”. Outsoles mix feature all of these new Jordans‘ hues, but the Jumpman-branded jewel right underneath the foot’s arch boast the titular scarlet tone.
