While UConn’s women’s basketball team is arguably the most dominant program in sports over the last decade-plus, their men’s organization boasts an impressive resume in their own right, cutting down the nets at the end of the season in both 2011 and 2014. Combine that with an impressive alumni list including NBA stars the likes of Kemba Walker, Ray Allen, and Andre Drummond, UConn is arguably one of the Swoosh brand’s top college basketball teams. To celebrate this illustrious partnership, Nike has hooked the Huskies up with their very own version of the brand new Kyrie 5 dressed in a white, red, and blue color scheme with the school’s Husky mascot taking shape on both heels. Finishing touches include an attractive paint splattered midsole and bold, red midfoot checks for a finishing Connecticut touch.
